New Delhi/Srinagar, April 13: In a proud moment for Jammu & Kashmir’s sporting community, Zahid Shafi, an AFC ‘B’ Licence Coach and a representative of DFA Zone Pampore, has been appointed as the Head Coach of Team Delhi for the ongoing Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men’s National Football Tournament 2024-25 in Chhattisgarh.
Shafi’s appointment comes as a recognition of his outstanding contributions to Indian football, particularly his impressive tenure as the Head Coach of the Jammu & Kashmir team during the 2023 Santosh Trophy held in Goa. Under his guidance, the team showcased exceptional skill and resilience, earning respect on the national stage.

The Etihad Football Academy Pampore, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Shafi, describing his journey as “a cornerstone in shaping young football talent in Kashmir”.
