Guwahati, March 15: The Radhanagar Battalion of Agartala Sector, in collaboration with the Patharkandi Police, successfully apprehended an individual for possessing counterfeit Indian currency notes worth Rs. 15,44,000. The joint operation was launched based on credible information of Drugs and Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN).
The accused, identified as Nizamuddin Laskar, was caught with the counterfeit currency notes, and was subsequently handed over to the Patharkandi Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
This successful operation by the Radhanagar Battalion and Patharkandi Police demonstrates their commitment to combating the circulation of fake currency notes in the region.
