Assam Direct Recruitment 2023
Assam Direct Recruitment | The State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) of Assam has released two notifications for the recruitment of 12,600 Class-III and Class-IV posts. The online application process will start on 10th November 2023 and candidates can apply through the official SLRC website.
The Assam Direct Recruitment for Class-III and Class-IV Analogous Posts Rules 2022 govern the recruitment process for these posts. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications online through the SLRC website.
Assam Direct Recruitment Details
Name of Posts: Grade-III and Grade-IV
No of Posts: 12,600 Posts (Tentative)
- Grade-III: 7,600 Posts
- Grade-IV: 5,000 Posts.

Assam Direct Recruitment Educational Qualification
The required educational qualifications are different for different types of posts. Candidates will be able to submit their application for the type of posts where they are eligible.
Grade-IV or Class-IV

Maximum Qualification: The maximum allowed educational qualification for Class-IV posts is HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examination passed. Candidates having qualifications higher than maximum qualification are not eligible to apply for these vacancies.
Grade-III (Category-I)
Name of Posts: Accountant, Cashier, Junior Assistant, LDA, Stenographer, etc.
No of Posts: 4,055 Posts
Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed the Bachelor’s Degree with a Computer Certificate/ Diploma of a minimum 6 months duration can apply online for these posts.
Grade-III (Category-II)
Name of Posts: Field Assistant, Fieldman, Foreman, Section Assistant, Soil Conservation Field Worker Junior, Agriculture Extension Officer, etc.
No of Posts: 3,127 Posts
Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent can apply online for these posts. (For some posts, candidates should be class 12th passed from the science stream.)
Grade-III (Category-III)
Name of Post: Driver
No of Posts: 418 Posts
Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent can apply online for these posts.
Other Eligibility Criteria of Assam Direct Recruitment Details
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must have a valid employment exchange registration number of Assam to be eligible for this recruitment.
Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as of 1st January 2023.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise upper age relaxation will be as follows.

How to Apply
The candidates who will be eligible as per the official notification of Assam Direct Recruitment will be able to submit their online applications through the official application portal of SLRC. Candidates will be able to submit their applications for all the eligible posts in one go. There will be a common application portal for the recruitment of all the departments. Candidates can follow the following steps to complete their online application process.

| Now, an official web portal will load in the new tab of your browser. |
| In that portal, you will get the option to register yourself. |
| Open that registration form and fill in all the required details. |
| After registration, you will have to upload your Photograph and Signature in the prescribed file format. |
| Now, you will have to pay the applicable application fee. |
| After successful payment, your application will be submitted. |
| Also, you will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission. |
| Keep that acknowledgement copy for future use. |
Required Documents to Upload
Applicants need to upload some of their documents in the prescribed file size and format to complete the online application process of Assam Direct Recruitment. The details of those required documents will be as follows.

Selection Procedure for Grade III
i. There shall be two parts of selection process – Written test and Interview.
ii. The scheme of examination shall be strictly as per the “Assam Direct Recruitment for Class-III and Class-IV Analogous Posts Rules, 2022” as amended from time to time. Further, this scheme will be published at least one week before the conduct of written test.
iii. The selected candidate will have to bring all the original testimonials. i.e. Certificate of proof of age, Caste Certificate (in case of reserved category candidates), Educational Qualification Certificates, Disability
Certificate (in case of PWBD candidates) and Declaration in Form –
“A” under Rule 5(1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment), Rules, 2019 for verification at the time to be notified later on, amongst others. An undertaking with regard to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria has to
be uploaded in the portal. The Discharge certificate will be required in case of Ex-serviceman.
Selection Procedure for Grade IV
The Selection Criteria and the mode of examination for the different categories of posts shall be communicated in due course of time. However, after written examination, the
shortlisted candidates will have to appear for skill test viz. Computer/Stenography/Driving
Skill tests etc. The shortlisted candidates will have to bring all the original testimonials i.e. Age proof Certificate, Caste Certificate (in case of reserved category candidates), Educational
Qualification Certificates, Computer Proficiency Certificate (as applicable), Disability
Certificate (in case of PwBD candidates) and Declaration in Form-“A” under Rule 5(I) of
the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment)
Rules, 2019 as available in the website for verification at the time to be notified later on.
