Vietnam Boat Capsize: 15 Indians Killed Including 10 from Tamil Nadu in Phu Quoc Horror

Hanoi/Phu Quoc: In a devastating Vietnam Boat Capsize incident, 15 Indian tourists lost their lives when their speedboat overturned near Phu Quoc Island on Saturday, July 11, 2026. According to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, the speedboat was carrying 32 Indian tourists and four crew members from Hon May Rut to An Thoi Port when it capsized about 400 metres off Hon May Rut Ngoai island in the An Thoi archipelago. 10 victims from Tamil Nadu, 3 from Andhra Pradesh, and 2 from Kerala have been confirmed dead. Several others remain critically injured, with two survivors fighting for their lives in hospitals.
