Manabendra Saharia, a scientist from Guwahati, has received the Platinum Jubilee Young Scientist Award 2022 from the National Academy of Sciences of India (NASI). Manabendra Saharia, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, has received the National Academy of Sciences of India (NASI) Platinum Jubilee Young Scientist Award in Electronics, Computer Science and Engineering category for 2022.
NASI has announced the recipients of its 2029 Platinum Jubilee Young Scientist Award, and the list includes scientists from various institutions across the country, including Saharia, who previously worked at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center Hydrology Laboratory and the National Center for Atmospheric Research. The award comes with a citation, a bronze medal and a cash prize of $225,000.
