Nagaon, March 18: Assam Police have apprehended a person from Nagaon district named Masum Ali for allegedly being the mastermind behind the morphed HSLC Geography question paper. The incident occurred amidst rumors of the paper being leaked, but Assam Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu promptly denied the allegations and confirmed that the paper was from 2021 and had been morphed by miscreants.
Pegu took to Twitter to appeal to students not to believe fake news on social media unless SEBA clarifies it. He further added that some individuals had attempted to create confusion among students by circulating an old question paper. The SEBA authority has confirmed that the viral paper is fake, and a case will be registered against it.
