By Asom Barta News Desk: Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia has been sent to Enforcement Directorate (ED) remand until March 17 in connection with an alleged excise policy scam. This development occurred after Sisodia appeared in court earlier today, where the federal agency sought a 10-day custody to interrogate him.
According to reports, the Enforcement Directorate alleged that Sisodia made false statements regarding the scam and had destroyed his phone, which was an essential piece of evidence in the investigation. The ED also claimed that Sisodia had provided relaxations to the restaurants in excise policy, including reducing the legal drinking age.

The special judge of the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court, MK Nagpal, has allowed the ED to quiz Sisodia for the next seven days to unearth the modus operandi of the perpetrators and confront the former Delhi deputy CM with the other accused.
