Himanta Biswa Sarma Unleashes Scathing Attack on Arvind Kejriwal, Labels Him “Lying Machine”

Guwahati, February 2: Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a blistering attack on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal during an election rally in Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar Assembly constituency. Sarma dubbed Kejriwal a “lying machine” and accused him of failing to fulfill his past promise of not contesting elections if the Yamuna River remained polluted .

Sarma took a jibe at Kejriwal, saying he would have made him take a dip in the Yamuna before filing his nomination if legal provisions allowed. Emphasizing the need for river cleanliness, the Assam CM asserted that Kejriwal himself has become “dirty” and suggested he be taken to the Ganga and Brahmaputra for purification.

Expressing confidence in the BJP-led central government’s commitment to environmental restoration, Sarma assured that if given a year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would ensure the Yamuna’s cleanliness. This attack comes amidst the ongoing Delhi elections, with the BJP and AAP locked in a fierce battle for power.
