A college student was allegedly raped by a man at Bihpuria in Lakhimpur district on Thursday. According to sources, the accused identified as Moizul Islam called up the victim for a sewing class.
However, after college, the victim directly went to Moidul’s residence. Meanwhile, taking advantage, he raped the victim, sources added. During the incident, the accused’s wife was also present at the time, the victim claimed.
It is learned that the accused and his wife both teach tailoring. Later, she was rescued by her family members with the help of the Bihpuria police. Following the incident, police immediately arrested Moizul in this connection.
