The Kamrup (Metro) District and Sessions Judge’s Court will hold the next hearing in the Zubeen Garg murder case on January 17. During this session, charges will be framed against the seven accused.
In today’s proceedings, all accused appeared virtually. Bail applications were filed by Amritprabha Mahanta, Sandipan Garg, and the two bodyguards Nandeswar Bora and Paresh Baishya. Government prosecutor Upendra Bhattacharya opposed the bail pleas.
The court has reserved its verdict on the bail applications of Amritprabha Mahanta, Sandipan Garg, Paresh Baishya, and Nandeswar Bora. The decision will be announced in the next hearing.
Shyamkanu Mahanta, Siddhartha Sharma, and Shekharjyoti Goswami have appointed private lawyers independently.
