“Pradyot Manikya Warns Bangladesh: ‘Touch Northeast, We’ll Break You into Greater Tipraland’”

Udaipur, Tripura | April 4, 2025: Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, founder of the Tipra Motha Party and royal scion of Tripura, issued a stern warning to Bangladesh during a massive rally in Udaipur, Gomati district, on Thursday. He accused Bangladesh of threatening India’s Northeast and committing atrocities against indigenous communities, vowing to retaliate if provoked.

Strong Words Against Bangladesh

Pradyot alleged that indigenous women in Bandarban, Chittagong, and other parts of Bangladesh were being raped, and Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians were under attack. He referenced recent remarks by Bangladesh’s interim government advisor Md Yunus, claiming he had threatened the Northeast while aligning with China.

“If Bangladesh dares to touch the Northeast, we will break it into pieces and create Greater Tipraland,” Pradyot declared. “We are proud Indians and Tiprasas, and we know how to fight for our land.”

Defiant Stand for Indigenous Rights

Asserting his commitment to indigenous rights, Pradyot said he would continue demanding justice—“in the Assembly, in Delhi, and on the ground.” He dismissed opposition leader Jitendra Chaudhury’s criticism, stating he answers only to tribal voices, not political leaders like Amit Shah or Rahul Gandhi.

“I have fought against CPI(M), Congress, and BJP for our rights. But where was Chaudhury when we demanded Roman script for Kokborok?” he questioned, accusing rivals of ignoring indigenous issues.

A Call for Unity

Pradyot emphasized unity among Tripura’s indigenous people, pledging to resist external threats and secure a better future for coming generations. His fiery speech has escalated tensions amid ongoing debates over tribal rights and regional security.

As tensions simmer, his remarks are likely to spark further political and diplomatic discussions concerning India’s Northeast and cross-border relations.
