NEET UG 2026 Result Declared: 11.21 Lakh Candidates Qualify, Check Scorecard and Toppers
New Delhi, July 16: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the NEET UG 2026 Result, bringing relief to nearly 20 lakh medical aspirants across the country. The results of the re-conducted National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) were declared on Thursday night, ensuring that the medical admission and counselling schedule remains on track.
According to the NTA, around 20 lakh candidates appeared for the examination, which was conducted at 5,440 examination centres across 551 cities in India and 14 international cities. Out of them, 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and other allied health science courses.
NEET UG 2026 Result: Scorecards Available Online
Candidates can now download their NEET UG 2026 Result and scorecards from the official NTA website. Along with the results, the agency has also released the list of All India Rank holders, state toppers, category-wise toppers, language-wise participation and qualifying cut-off marks.
The NTA stated that the timely declaration of results will help begin the counselling and admission process for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and allied medical courses without delay.
Key Highlights of NEET UG 2026 Result
- Around 20 lakh candidates appeared for the examination.

Top Scorers in NEET UG 2026
The highest score in this year’s examination was 715 out of 720, jointly secured by:
- Aryan Gupta (Punjab)
- Panshul Bansal (Haryana)
Other important performance statistics include:
- 19 candidates scored above 700 marks
- 138 candidates scored above 690 marks
- 1,492 candidates secured 650 or more
- 10,160 candidates scored 600 or above
- 90,780 candidates obtained 500 or more marks
State-wise Performance
Qualified candidates came from all 36 States and Union Territories. Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of qualified candidates with over 1.7 lakh, while Lakshadweep had 43 qualified candidates.
Among the notable state toppers are:
- Jigmet Yangchan Lamo (Ladakh) – 530 marks
- Dhruv Tripathi (Andaman & Nicobar Islands) – 606 marks
- Fahmida Anees (Lakshadweep) – 573 marks
The NTA also reported that 17 state toppers scored 700 or above, while 26 state toppers secured more than 690 marks.

The examination was conducted in Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu, ensuring accessibility for students across the country.

With the declaration of the NEET UG 2026 Result, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and respective state counselling authorities are expected to announce the counselling schedule soon.
