In a significant blow to drug traffickers, the Assam Police have seized 9,000 Yaba tablets and arrested three drug dealers in an operation conducted in the Sonai Rangirghat area of Cachar district. The seized tablets are valued at over ₹3 crore in the illegal market ¹.
Acting on intelligence inputs, the authorities intercepted the suspects and confiscated the tablets. In a separate operation at the Silchar bypass, police recovered 88 grams of heroin worth approximately ₹60 lakh. Two individuals were taken into custody in connection with this case.
