Guwahati, October 27: Ahead of the much-anticipated release of Jubin Garg’s film Roi Roi Binale, the All Assam Cinema Hall Owners’ Association held a press conference today at Hotel Apollo Grand, making significant announcements regarding the film’s screening. The association addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding alleged ticket price hikes for the film, clarifying their stance. “We are not using Jubin Garg’s name for commercial gain. Claims of ticket price increases are entirely false. Those making such allegations should verify the facts. We have only increased the number of shows, with no changes to ticket prices,” the association stated.
Taking a firm stand against the growing dominance of Hindi films in Assam, the association declared, “During the screening of Roi Roi Binale, no Hindi films will be shown in our cinema halls.” They further highlighted the challenges faced by the regional film industry, stating, “Due to the lack of adequate knowledge among Assamese producers, there has been a significant disparity in the profit-sharing of ticket sales between Hindi and Assamese films. For a long time, non-Assamese lobbies have dominated Assam’s cinema business, causing harm to our regional film industry.”
The association passionately emphasized that Roi Roi Binale is not just a film but an emotional movement for the people of Assam. “If Jubin’s previous films created double the excitement among fans, this film will be received with four times the enthusiasm. It will script a new chapter in the history of Assamese cinema, setting a record that no one will be able to break,” they added with confidence.
Through this press conference, the All Assam Cinema Hall Owners’ Association reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Assamese cinema. The announcement has sparked fresh enthusiasm among audiences eagerly awaiting the release of Roi Roi Binale
