“Pakistan Deploys 300–400 Turkish Drones in Major Border Infiltration Bid: Indian Forces on High Alert”

Pakistan Launches Massive Drone & Artillery Assault on Indian Borders

In a significant escalation along the western frontier, the Pakistani Army violated Indian airspace on the night of May 7–8, launching a coordinated drone and artillery attack targeting Indian military installations. Official sources confirm that 300–400 Turkish-made drones were deployed across 36 infiltration points, marking one of the largest aerial infiltration attempts in recent years.

Unprecedented Drone Infiltration Attempt

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, in a press briefing, stated that the Pakistani military used drones from Leh to Sir Creek in an attempt to breach Indian defences and conduct surveillance.

“The Indian armed forces successfully intercepted multiple drones using kinetic and non-kinetic measures. Forensic analysis indicates the drones were Turkish Asisguard Songar models,” she revealed.

The attack appears to have been aimed at testing India’s air defence systems while gathering intelligence on border deployments.

Heavy Shelling Along LoC, Civil Aviation at Risk

Simultaneously, Pakistan intensified tensions with heavy artillery shelling along the Line of Control (LoC). In a concerning development, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh highlighted that Pakistan kept its airspace open during the attack, potentially using civilian airliners as shields.

“Pakistan’s reckless actions endanger international flights near the border. India’s air defence response remains swift, but this poses serious risks to civilian aviation,” Singh warned.

India on High Alert, Diplomatic Action Expected

The Indian Armed Forces remain on maximum alert, with retaliatory measures under assessment. The government is expected to raise the issue at diplomatic and strategic forums, condemning Pakistan’s escalatory drone warfare and disregard for aviation safety.

Key Takeaways:

  • 300–400 Turkish drones used in infiltration bid.
  • Indian forces intercept multiple drones, forensic probe ongoing.
