Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his party over allegations linking Hindus to a controversial incident involving cow parts found outside a temple.Sarma dismissed claims that Hindu groups could be involved, calling it a “distorted mindset.” He stated, “Those who believe a Hindu can slaughter a cow and place its head outside a temple don’t deserve any response. This is a completely twisted narrative.”The CM revealed that all parts of the slaughtered animal were recovered soon after Eid, suggesting the involvement of local misled youths rather than any Hindu organization. “BJP-RSS members or devout Hindus would never act against their beliefs,” he asserted.Taking a sharp dig at Rahul Gandhi, Sarma alleged that the Congress leader habitually defends those who disrupt communal harmony. “Rahul Gandhi’s politics thrives on shielding divisive forces. His statements weaken social unity,” he said.The incident has sparked a political row, with the BJP accusing the opposition of fueling tensions while Congress denies the allegations.
