In the first semi-final of the Champions Trophy 2025 held in Dubai, the Indian cricket team defeated Australia by 4 wickets to secure a spot in the final. With this victory, India has reached the Champions Trophy final for the third consecutive time (2013, 2017, and 2025). Mohammed Shami and Virat Kohli played pivotal roles in India’s triumph with their stellar performances.

After winning the toss, Australia opted to bat first and set a target of 265 runs, thanks to brilliant innings by Steve Smith and Alex Carey. However, Indian pacer Mohammed Shami claimed 4 wickets, restricting Australia to 264 runs. In India’s chase, Virat Kohli delivered a masterclass performance, forming a crucial partnership with Shreyas Iyer to steer India towards victory.

Having won the Champions Trophy in 2013 and finishing as runners-up in 2017, India is now set to compete in the final once again. Indian fans are already brimming with excitement, hoping their team will clinch the title this time.
