Powerful 551-City Plan Secures NEET UG 2026 Exam Now
NEET UG 2026:: In a major effort to ensure a fair and transparent examination process, the Centre has intensified preparations for NEET UG 2026, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally monitoring arrangements and senior officials overseeing security measures across the country.
Amid concerns arising from controversies surrounding previous NEET examinations, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan conducted a surprise inspection of the National Testing Agency (NTA) headquarters on Tuesday to review preparedness for the upcoming medical entrance examination.
After the review meeting, Pradhan assured lakhs of students that NEET UG 2026 would be conducted smoothly, securely, and without errors. He stated that the government has introduced significant reforms in the examination system and strengthened mechanisms to prevent irregularities, cyber threats, and misinformation.
According to the Education Minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is closely monitoring every aspect of the examination process. High-level meetings involving the Cabinet Secretary, Home Secretary, and other senior officials have been held to ensure complete transparency and security.
“The Prime Minister wants every student in the country to have confidence in the examination system. We are committed to ensuring that past mistakes are not repeated,” Pradhan said.
To strengthen NTA NEET Exam Security, authorities are monitoring the entire process, from question paper preparation to transportation and storage at examination centres. Security protocols have been enhanced at every stage to eliminate the possibility of leaks or malpractice.
This year, NEET UG 2026 will be conducted in 551 cities across India and at 41 international centres. Given the massive scale of the examination, the government has coordinated with the Indian Air Force (IAF) to ensure the secure transportation of question papers.
The Centre has also upgraded cybersecurity infrastructure to protect the examination system from hacking attempts and other digital threats. Officials said advanced monitoring systems have been deployed to safeguard the integrity of the examination process.
Pradhan further revealed that state governments have extended full cooperation for the conduct of the examination. Regular review meetings are being held with Chief Secretaries and District Magistrates, who have been assigned direct responsibility for maintaining security and transparency at examination centres.
Following last year’s controversies, the government has undertaken major reforms within the National Testing Agency. Several key appointments have been made, and the agency’s operational structure has been revamped to improve efficiency, accountability, and oversight.
On investigations related to alleged paper leak cases, Pradhan expressed confidence in the ongoing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe. He emphasized that strict action would be taken against anyone found guilty, regardless of their position or influence.
The minister said authorities are examining legal options against entities that allegedly failed to meet contractual obligations related to examination management. The NTA is currently seeking legal advice regarding potential civil liability proceedings.
Pradhan also urged students not to believe rumours circulating on social media and instead focus on their preparation. He assured candidates that the examination would be conducted fairly and that results would be announced on schedule.
With enhanced security measures, strengthened coordination among central and state agencies, and direct monitoring at the highest levels of government, authorities aim to make NEET UG 2026 one of the most secure and transparent entrance examinations conducted in the country.
