Key Points to Note for Assam Holiday List 2026
- Public Holidays under NI Act: All Sundays and the holidays listed in Section 3 of the notification are also declared as public holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
- Bank Holiday: 1 April 2026 (Wednesday) is declared as a holiday for the annual closing of bank accounts in nationalized banks.
- Saturday Holidays: All 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month will be holidays. Other Saturdays are full working days.
