Himanta Biswa Sarma Strongly Rejects Congress Allegation: Wife Riniki Bhuyan Sharma Does Not Hold 3 Passports | AI Forgery Claimed
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has strongly rejected the Congress party’s allegation that his wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, holds three passports from different countries.
In a sharp response shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Assam CM described the entire claim as politically motivated and fabricated with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He alleged that Congress leader Pawan Khera displayed fake passports of Riniki Bhuyan Sharma in the media using AI-generated forgeries.
Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that he and his wife Riniki Bhuyan Sharma will file a defamation case along with a criminal complaint against Pawan Khera and others involved in this forgery within 48 hours. A separate FIR will also be lodged at the police station.
Speaking on the issue, Himanta Biswa Sarma said the Congress party, driven by frustration and intense political pressure, is trying to mislead the people of Assam through such malicious propaganda. He urged the people of Assam not to believe these fabricated allegations and baseless accusations.
The development comes amid ongoing political exchanges between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress in Assam.
This is the latest in a series of strong rebuttals by Himanta Biswa Sarma against what he terms as “desperate and motivated” attacks by the Congress.
