Imphal, Manipur, January 23 : The Manipur Governor, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, announced on Thursday that the investigation into the abduction and murder of Mayanglambam Rishikanta Singh, an innocent Meitei civilian, has been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for a thorough and impartial probe.
The announcement came during a high-level meeting at Raj Bhavan, where a Joint Action Committee, led by MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam and MLAs Thokchom Lokeshwar Singh and Kangujam Ranjit Singh, along with the grieving family members, submitted a memorandum demanding justice for the victim.
