CBSE Postpones Class 10 & 12 Board Exams on March 5-6 in West Asia Amid Prevailing Regional Situation
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially postponed the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026, and Friday, March 6, 2026, across several West Asian countries. This decision follows a critical review of the current situation in the region.
The postponement applies to CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). CBSE Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj issued the official circular, stating that revised dates for these postponed exams will be announced later.
The Board has indicated that a further assessment of the evolving conditions in these countries will take place by Thursday, March 5, 2026. Based on that review, a decision regarding the examinations scheduled from March 7, 2026, onwards will be communicated promptly to all concerned schools and students.
This latest update comes after the CBSE had previously deferred exams on earlier dates in the same region, highlighting the impact of the prevailing security and regional circumstances on conducting fair and safe examinations.
Students, parents, and schools in the affected West Asian countries are advised to regularly check the official CBSE website (cbse.gov.in) and stay in touch with their respective school principals for the latest announcements on revised CBSE exam dates 2026. Avoid relying on unverified social media claims or fake circulars, as the Board has previously warned against misinformation.
The CBSE remains committed to ensuring the academic interests and safety of all students. Further updates on CBSE board exam postponements in West Asia and Middle East will be shared as soon as new information is released.
