Bollywood Actor Ashish Vidyarthi and Wife Rupali Baruah Injured in Guwahati Road Accident
Guwahati, January 3, 2026 – Veteran Bollywood actor Ashish Vidyarthi and his wife, fashion entrepreneur Rupali Baruah, sustained injuries in a late-night road accident in Guwahati’s Zoo Road area.
The incident occurred around midnight on Friday in front of The Guwahati Address Hotel, near Zoo Tiniali, under the jurisdiction of Geetanagar Police Station. A speeding Bajaj Avenger motorcycle (registration number AS-01-DY-5061) coming from the Chandmari side struck the couple while they were crossing the road after dining at the hotel restaurant.
Both Ashish Vidyarthi and Rupali Baruah were injured in the collision, along with the motorcyclist, who sustained serious injuries. Police from Geetanagar Police Station promptly arrived at the scene and rushed the injured biker to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment. The actor and his wife also received medical attention.
Known for his versatile roles in over 300 films across multiple languages, Ashish Vidyarthi has recently gained popularity as a food and travel vlogger. His YouTube channel, featuring content from his visits across Assam and the Northeast, boasts around 2.4 million subscribers.
Authorities are investigating the accident, with no further details on the severity of the injuries released yet.
