Amit Shah Assam Schedule: Key Highlights for Assam Polls 2026
Amit Shah will stay overnight at the Kainadhara State Guest House. Senior BJP leaders confirmed that the Union Home Minister is expected to hold closed-door strategy meetings with the top brass of Assam BJP to finalise poll strategies for the Assam Assembly Elections 2026.
BJP Assam Media Relation Convenor Dhrubajyoti Maral told PTI:
“He is likely to meet the top leadership of the party and discuss the strategies for the upcoming Assam assembly polls. There is nothing scheduled, but we look forward to his guidance.”
On Sunday morning, Amit Shah will inaugurate the much-awaited Pragjyotishpur Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in Kalapahar area of Guwahati. This will be only the second medical college in the state capital after Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. The college has two campuses — Panbazar (upgraded Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital) and Kalapahar (upgraded TB Hospital).
After the official inauguration, Amit Shah will head to the Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara to address the grand Yuva Shakti Samaroh organised by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Over 1 lakh youths are expected to attend the mega youth convention.
Assam BJP President Dilip Saikia posted on X:
“Preparations were reviewed for the ‘Yuva Shakti Samaroh’ to be addressed tomorrow by Hon’ble Union Home Minister @AmitShah Ji, with 1 lakh+ youths set to participate. A major step towards a Viksit and Aatmanirbhar Assam.”
