The Board of Secondary Education(SEBA), Assam has cancelled the HSLC examination of General Science (C3) scheduled to be held on March 13, 2023, following reports of a question paper leak. The decision to cancel the exam was made after it was discovered that the paper had been shared on social media and was available in the hands of some candidates.
Assam Education Minister Ronoj Pegu confirmed the cancellation in a tweet and said that a new date would be announced soon. SEBA also released a statement, saying that an investigation had been initiated, and necessary action would be taken against the culprits and conspirators.

The concerned district authorities have been asked to submit an inquiry report, and the board has announced that legal action will be taken against those found guilty.
The DGP of Assam Police has registered a criminal case in connection with the General Science (C3) question paper leak and has stated that it will be investigated by CID Assam. The incident has caused confusion among the candidates, and the board has assured them that a new date for the exam will be announced soon.
The cancellation of exams due to reports of cheating and question paper leaks is a serious matter and highlights the need for stricter measures to prevent such incidents. The board has urged candidates to maintain the integrity of the examination process and has warned that those found guilty of cheating will face severe consequences.
