Pramod Boro-Led BTC Completes 2 Years

The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) of Assam celebrated two years of operation under the direction of the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) on Tuesday.The BTC secretariat was decorated with lovely lights to honour the occasion.

Early on Monday, a demonstration called “Walk for Peace” was organised from the BTC Secretariat Field. Pramod Boro, the BTC CEM, and several other people joined the rally. Meanwhile, Pramod Boro paid floral tributes at the cemetery of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma in front of BTC Assembly building at Thulungapuri in Kokrajhar.

Taking to twitter on the occasion, Pramod Boro said, “Paid floral tribute at the bust of Bodofa UN Brahma in front of BTC Assembly building on the occasion of #2YearsofBTRGovt. Sought his blessings & pledged to live by his ideals & vision to make BTR a progressive & prosperous region.” Pramod Boro also paid respects to Lt. Sujit Narzary, the movement’s first martyr at Bhatipara.

Senior BTR executives presented speeches outlining the substantial accomplishments made by their respective departments over the previous two years as well as their outlook for the future. On the other hand, a number of Assam ministers, including Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, complimented the BTR government for completing its two years successfully.

Taking to twitter, CM Sarma said, “In the last two years, BTR has moved forward on a new path of development and peace has been ensured. The Government of Assam will continue to provide all kinds of assistance to the people of BTR for the comprehensive development and growth of BTR.”
