In the midst of the government recruitment examination for Grade III and IV, the Cachar College’s Principal Siddhartha Shankar Nath has been detained by the police for allegedly flouting the examination protocol on Sunday.
The development came after the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Rohan Jha spotted gross negligence in the way the examination was conducted in the Cachar College.
Later, Principal Siddhartha Shankar Nath was summoned to the DC office for questioning. Following his observations that the examination was not conducted as per the prescribed guidelines/directions of the state government,
the DC lodged an FIR.Based on the FIR, the Cachar police detained the principal.Currently, Principal Siddhartha Shankar Nath is being interrogated at the Silchar police station.
