The Board of Secondary Education, Assam has announced new dates for the cancelled HSLC Class 10 General Science and English exams, which were previously cancelled due to reports of paper leaks and students using unfair means in the exams. The revised schedule for the Assam HSLC 2023 exams was announced by the Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu through his official Twitter handle.
According to the announcement, the cancelled General Science examination, which was scheduled for 13th March, will now be held on 30th March 2023. Meanwhile, the cancelled English examination in JR Higher Secondary School, Ganirgram will be held on 28th March. SEBA has issued notice regarding the same.
The education minister has also appealed to HSLC candidates not to panic or feel disheartened over the cancellation of the General Science examination. The Board of Secondary Education, Assam had cancelled the exam citing reports of paper leaks in media telecasts. The board believes that such news may create confusion in the minds of the candidates, and therefore, the decision to cancel the exam was taken.
